American School Life Through the eyes of a Korean Student
This book is based on my journals and diaries during the first five years of my stay in the U.S. It attempts to truthfully tell the facts about school life in a medium-sized city in the U.S. Rather than trying to show about English writing and composition, this book explains an essential part of American school culture. It is just as important as learning the English language for those of you who really want to know about English-speaking parts of the world.

저자 권성민군은 1996년 일리노이 대학에서 박사과정 공부를 하게 된 아버지를 따라 가족과 함께 미국 일리노이 샴페인으로 건너갔다.
1996년부터 1998년까지 그는 워싱턴 초등학교를 다녔으며, 1998년부터 1999년까지는 닥터 하워드 초등학교의 영재 프로그램을 다녔다.
그 후 그는 에디슨 중학교에서 6학년 과정을 다녔고, 7학년을 월반하여 2000년부터 2002년까지 8학년과 9학년 과정으로 유니버시티 고등학교를 다녔다. 9학년을 마치고 그는 한국으로 귀국하여 현재는 민족사관고등학교 2학년에 재학중이다.
